Balanced Scorecard
Consultancy
MPOWER has a strategic alliance with renowned
consulting partners, to provide management consultancy
for strategic process design, strategic planning
and balanced scorecards. Our consulting partners
along with the MPOWER team bring forth a vast
experience in strategy formulation, balanced scorecard
and performance management implementation, across
different industry verticals, across the globe.
We offer services in building the strategy using
the balanced scorecard framework, validation of
existing scorecards and cascading of KPI aligned
with the BSC.
Balanced Scorecard consultancy is
carried out in three stages. Three key onsite
work stages, with appropriate time in between
to allow for external review of in-house generated
outputs:
Stage
1: The corporate level scorecard (1 week
onsite)
- A brief review of existing activities,
strategic plans and current performance reports
leading to a critique of the adequacy of the
existing approaches and measures.
- A consultant-assisted, on site
executive interview program.
The development and agreement of an appropriate
‘design architecture’ for balanced
scorecard to include decision on the extent
of deployment of balanced scorecard across the
business, advice on the structure and content
level of the corporate balanced scorecard, and
advise on the cascading, and structure of the
balanced scorecards for the strategic business
units.
- A balanced scorecard workshop
leading to the finalization of a corporate wide
balanced scorecard to include strategy map and
updated key performance indicators.
Stage
2: Development of cascaded scorecards for
the main functional units (one week onsite)
- Consultant-assisted, on site
program of training and facilitated workshops
with each of the main functional units leading
to the development of agreed cascaded strategy
maps and initial measures for each of the business
units.
- An internal, template driven set
of activities to fully develop measures, definitions,
targets and initiatives for each of the functional
units.
Stage
3: Final review and implementation planning
(one week onsite)
- A consultant off site review of
outputs from stage 2 above.
- A consultant-assisted, on site
program of final review of each cascaded scorecard,
together with a workshop to advise on implementation
planning activities for the balanced scorecards.

Management System Design

for Performance Management Systems. Our team of

Performance Management System design
is carried out in three stages. Three key onsite

Process implementation
Process implementation activity is
carried out for the deployment of balanced scorecard
and PMS methodology. This includes laying down
a predefined process and a set of templates used
to align the process of creation of the structure
and regular review mechanism for different levels
such as corporate and cascades. This forms the
basis for rigorous performance management.
This includes following activities:-
- Conduction of interviews and
workshops with the key executives to understand
the PM structure and data sources.
- Translating vision/mission into
set of strategies and strategies into operation
objectives.
- Formulate measures to measure
the performance of objectives.
- Review the finalized balanced
scorecard for completeness and usability.

Collation
and mapping of the information
The information related to Objectives,
Measures and Initiatives, knowledge repository,
profiles of the executives, organizational chart,
vision and mission statement of the company, important
news and events of the company as well as other
related details is collected in structured format.
Well structured templates are use to collate the
data. There are different formatted templates
for collation of Objectives, Measures and initiatives
etc.
The collated data is mapped on to
the application. After successful mapping to performance
management structure, organization can use the
system to track and manage the performance of
the organization. The mapped information in the
system is validated with the help of authorized
scorecard coordinator from client side for its
correctness. |
